![]() | GLV's Water Treatment Group Awarded New Large-Scale Contracts Totalling Over $40 M, Including a $9.4 M Equipment Order for the City of Barcelona MONTREAL, April 22 - (All amounts are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise indicated.) Management of GLV Inc. ("GLV" or "the Company"; ticker symbols LVG.A and LVG.B) is pleased to announce that in recent weeks, the Water Treatment Group has been awarded several large-scale contracts worth a total of more than $40 M, of which $29 M are in the European and North American municipal markets, and more than $11 M in the energy sector in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and South America. These new contracts add to the numerous smaller-scale orders also obtained during the same period that are part of the Water Treatment Group's order backlog. The Water Treatment Group has received large orders totalling more than $12 M in the European municipal market, including a major $9.4 M contract to design, manufacture and install, between now and July 2009, a complete solution aimed at increasing the capacity of the wastewater treatment plant of the City of Barcelona (Spain), while improving the quality of the treated water. The group also landed significant municipal contracts in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. In addition, the Water Treatment Group has been awarded close to $17 M in major orders in the North American municipal market, where it continues to benefit from solid demand for most of its products. Eimco Water Technologies ("EWT") will notably deliver several clarification, aeration and thickening systems to various municipalities, primarily in the United States but also in Canada, as well as screening systems based on Brackett Green's and Jones & Attwood's technologies. Among EWT's most recent contracts is a $5.3 M order aimed at delivering six secondary clarifiers and ancillary equipment to a U.S. municipality. The Enviroquip division has also been awarded another large-scale order in the United States for the installation of a submerged membrane (MBR) bioreactor. Most of the municipal contracts recently awarded to the Water Treatment Group in North America will be finalized during the fiscal year ending March 31, 2009. Finally, the Water Treatment Group continues to expand its presence in the energy sector, one of its primary target markets in the industrial segment. In the past weeks, it has landed major contracts worldwide worth a total of more than $11 M, all of which will be finalized during fiscal 2009. GLV will notably deliver screening systems and filters to power stations located in two countries in the United Arab Emirates. It will also supply screening systems to plants in the United ingdom and the Republic of Ireland, along with various types of equipment for power stations located in Argentina and Indonesia.
