CALGARY, April 16 - Arrow Energy Ltd. (AOF - TSX Venture Exchange) ("Arrow") is pleased to announce the appointments of Richard Edgar, P. Geol. to the position of Executive Chairman, Richard Ballak as Corporate Comptroller, and Jorge Avilés as Coordinator of Corporate Affairs.

The executive and management team additions bring to Arrow a significant and broad range of domestic and international experience along with impressive, technical, and transactional skill sets. Furthermore, the new team is highly experienced bringing a combined 85 years of involvement in the international and domestic oil and gas industry.

Richard Edgar P. Geol. / Executive Chairman
A graduate of the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science degree, Mr. Edgar has over 30 years of extensive experience in the global petroleum industry, both domestically and internationally. Mr. Edgar has served in various executive and management roles including President, CEO, and Chairman in traditional exploration and production companies. In his new role at Arrow he will have oversight over all of the affairs of the corporation. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of TriStar Oil and Gas Ltd, Avery Resources Inc., Shelton Canada Corp., and Arrow Energy Ltd.

Richard Ballak (CGA) / Corporate Comptroller
Mr. Ballak has been involved in the oil and gas industry for 35 years holding a number of senior financial positions, most recently as a consultant to Arrow; and prior to that, he served as Manager of Financial Reporting for Vintage Petroleum Inc. / Daylight Resources Trust. Richard is a member of the Certified General Accountants Association of Alberta and Canada.

Jorge O. Avilés / Coordinator - Corporate Affairs
A graduate with Distinction from the University of Calgary, Mr. Avilés has more than 20 years experience in Business Development, Corporate Affairs, and International Project Management; working in assignments with well-recognized companies like Lavalin/HMS Engineering, Quebecor, and Northern Telecom among others. As a project team leader, Mr. Avilés has designed and delivered an array of training packages in English, as well as French and Spanish, in more than 22 countries; especially where superior trans-cultural skills are needed to ensure the success of the project.
