BAYW today announced that it has closed the asset sale of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Nutritional Specialties, for $8,578,000 in cash. BAYW is now a pure-play beverage company. BAYW is now focused on building out the New Leaf brand as well as finalizing the development of additional new and exciting functional beverages.

The New Leaf brand is already established in the Northeast and is emerging in the Southeast, Midwest and South Florida in over 75 distributors and approximately 8,000 accounts in the independent grocery/restaurant “street” channel. The Company’s goal is to build the New Leaf brand nationally and drive sales growth through expanded distribution, marketing support and new product additions.

7-Eleven is now carrying New Leaf Tea in 280 stores in the Metro New York area including approximately 180 stores in Long Island and 100 stores across Brooklyn, Bronx, Suffern and Queens. The product will reach 7-Eleven through Manhattan Beer Distributors, New York's largest beer distributor that markets beer and non-alcoholic beverages throughout 15 counties in the Metro New York area.
