Default Omnicity Enters Into Fiber Optic Construction Deal With Lebanon Utilities

Omnicity Enters Into Fiber Optic Construction Deal With Lebanon Utilities
On Friday May 8, 2009, 4:30 pm EDT

RUSHVILLE, Ind., May 8, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Omnicity Corp (OTC BB:OMCY.OB - News) continues to move forward with their business model to deliver ``Broadband to the Heartland'' and has taken another major strategic step in expanding and enhancing its Midwestern fixed wireless and fiber optic network by signing an important agreement with Lebanon Utilities in Lebanon, Indiana. Under the terms of the agreement Omnicity will construct the fiber optic network to connect the Lebanon Community Schools with Lebanon Utilities. Omnicity's fiber optic construction team won the bid to construct the network and it represents the first of many fiber optic construction projects that the Company plans to complete in 2009. ``We continue rapidly forward with the execution of our business model by moving beyond our wireless network in building more fiber optic solutions that support our current infrastructure. Our agreement with Lebanon Utilities allows us to further fulfill our mission by building, buying and partnering strategically to grow, meet and exceed the Omnicity plan to provide Broadband services in some of the more challenging un-served and underserved areas of rural America,'' added Greg Jarman, COO of Omnicity.

Omnicity began offering fiber optic construction services to enhance the fixed wireless network they currently own that covers more than 17,000 square miles in the Midwest United States. ``We are excited about working with Omnicity as they continue to merge into a leading provider of fixed wireless and fiber optic connectivity across Indiana and beyond. It is great to see a local company emerge as one of the fastest growing and forward thinking providers of broadband services,'' commented Randy Parsons, IT Director for the City of Lebanon, Indiana and Lebanon Utilities.

RUSHVILLE, Ind., May 12, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- David Bradford, VP of Corporate Development for Omnicity Corp. (OTC BB:OMCY.OB - News), the fastest growing fixed broadband service provider in the Midwest, today issued a formal corporate update summarizing the milestones achieved and the status of Omnicity's aggressive growth plan through acquisitions and organic growth

Bradford stated, ``In the first 12 weeks since completing the public listing of Omnicity we are well ahead of schedule on our short-term plan goals. In less than 100 days we have brought in significant investor funding, secured a valuable credit agreement, closed four important acquisitions, enhanced the organization's operations and management for quality growth with some critical hires, and have begun to execute on municipal fiber as well as residential wireless revenue strategies. In twelve short weeks we have tripled the subscriber and revenue base, tripled the tower asset base, more than quadrupled the size of our service area, and operating metrics are right on track. We are exceptionally pleased with these short-term results and are now poised to advance to the next phase of the plan.''

Omnicity's four acquisitions to date were of Indiana-based wireless internet service providers. NDWave, ForePoints, North Central Communications, and Cue Connex were strategically important buys for Omnicity, not only tripling the subscribers and revenue, but also delivering key employees and important integral elements to the distribution system. With these acquisitions, Omnicity now serves over 6,000 subscribers; the Company's short-term strategic plan is to increase our subscriber base in the Midwestern U.S., through more acquisitions and organic growth, and quickly expanding into all Midwestern States and eventually across all of rural America. ``Our model is based on a fully enriched and integrated broadband experience for all elements of the rural marketplace: individual residents, businesses, schools, and local governmental entities. We have begun to execute on all dimensions of the plan, with great acceptance,'' Bradford said. Over the last 12 weeks Omnicity has strengthened alliances and marketing agreements with several Indiana Rural Electric Cooperatives, formed new service partnerships with independent rural telephone companies, and has developed a comprehensive package of mobile broadband applications and meter reading applications for utilities, municipalities and local water districts. This week, Omnicity kicks off its fiber construction program with a project to build a fiber optic network for the City of Lebanon, Indiana, tying Lebanon Utilities to Lebanon Community Schools.

Omnicity has also achieved success raising money in support of its aggressive development schedule. Omnicity has entered into a $1 million credit facility with Agility Ventures to fund capital expenditures for network and subscriber growth and has raised additional funds through an equity private placement. These funds were added to our working capital. Bradford concluded by stating, ``Although we are on a very ambitious growth plan, our model is quite prudent financially. Each acquisition brings significant incremental cash flow to the bottom line, new subscriber installs are reaching break even more quickly than expected, and we intend to further fund up, build upon these early successes, and accelerate the plan.''

OMCY from .72 this one could continue for awhile on todays news but use caution as it did leave a gap between the .75 to .85 areas.

    Default OMCY back on watch

OMCY I think is using its gap now as support. We held .85 here nicely and could test .95 to 1.00 ranges here in the short term. Keep a eye on this one as I am still bullish on OMCY in its current uptrend.

Default Omnicity Maps Out Major Expansion With Afterimage GIS

Omnicity Maps Out Major Expansion With Afterimage GIS
On Wednesday May 27, 2009, 4:44 pm EDT

RUSHVILLE, Ind., May 27, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Omnicity Corp (OTC BB:OMCY.OB - News) continues to move forward in its nationwide expansion plan and has partnered with Afterimage GIS to map out major new territories for growth and efficiency. Omnicity, in their first quarter as a publicly held company, has tripled in size through acquisition and is focused on their 17,000 square mile coverage area to increase their customer base through internal growth. The partnership with Afterimage GIS gives Omnicity the marketing and planning tool that is key to more fully understanding the markets they serve as well as more precisely defining important elements of the markets where the Company plans to grow. Greg Jarman, COO of Omnicity commented, ``We look forward to working with another Indiana-based company and we are very impressed with the management team at Afterimage GIS. They bring many years of wireless experience and their 3-D mapping solution will allow us to grow into our neighboring states of Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan and Illinois much more efficiently.''

Afterimage GIS Co-Founder and CEO Paul Shanayda stated, ``Our mapping service can accurately predict signal strength along with other metrics for households and businesses across the U.S.'' We have partnered with Omnicity because we see its vision and leadership role in the WiMax and fiber optic industry and have chosen to share in its corporate growth as well.`` The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 has allocated $7.2 billion dollars for connecting rural and underserved communities in America with broadband Internet. To aid in the identification and deployment process of these communities, Afterimage GIS has developed several products and services that will assist rural America. Mr. Shanayda added, ''With stimulus dollars being allocated for broadband development, Afterimage GIS's solution can help Omnicity secure these grants and supply information to help make their deployments successful.``

The Omnicity partnership with Afterimage should produce significant operating expense savings for the Company and dramatically accelerate speed to market. Afterimage's tools will help Omnicity determine the best ways to bring its broadband services to a rural county, whether by one of its various wireless options or by fiber.

Omnicity Corp. (OMCY.OB) is "One to Watch"

Omnicity Corp. provides broadband access, including advanced services of voice, video and data, in un-served and underserved small and rural markets. The company aims to be the premier consolidator of rural market broadband nationwide. Leveraging management expertise, Omnicity’s strategy is to provide a total broadband solution and continue rapid growth through acquisitions, organic growth and partnerships with Rural Electric Municipal Cooperatives and Rural Telephone Companies.

The company’s target markets are locations better suited to wireless transmissions than traditional hard-wire operators. It has been estimated that at least 40 million rural and small market homes, businesses, government agencies and schools have inadequate high-speed Internet service, representing a large growth opportunity.

Building a nationwide wireless network, Omnicity will be able to deliver high-speed Internet access to rural subscrib*ers more cost-effectively than traditional cable or fiber optic models since hard-wire systems are gener*ally much more expensive to build than wireless networks. Reduced network development costs means lower infrastructure costs per subscriber for wireless operators as compared to comparably-sized traditional hardwire fiber-optic systems.

Omnicity is led by an experienced broadband operations team with extensive wireless broadband/ISP expertise as well as the capability to consolidate large numbers of businesses through a strategic roll-up strategy. Over the next five years, the company projects a growing customer base of 170,000 subscribers, increasing margins and growing revenues of nearly $87 million.

Omnicity Corp.’s (OMCY.OB) $25M Investment will Create New Jobs, Opportunities for Rushville, Indiana

Executives from Omnicity Corp., an Indiana-based broadband and communications provider, were joined by Governor Mitch Daniels in August as the company announced it would expand its operations in Indiana, thereby creating about 100 new jobs by 2010.

Omnicity currently employs 38 associates across its four Indiana facilities, and plans to invest $2.5 million into wireless infrastructure and expansion of its corporate operations. The company will hire customer service specialists, managers and field service personnel in order to meet growing demand for new fiber optic construction contracts.

“Omnicity’s new jobs and investment are a boost for Rush County. The expansion means more technology is reaching our rural areas, which makes them even more attractive for jobs and growth,” said Governor Daniels.

According to the press release, since the creation of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation in 2005, more than 85 companies have located or expanded their headquarters in Indiana to generate more than 16,000 new headquarters jobs and more than $1 billion in new capital investment. To continue its dedication to the community, the Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered Omnicity up to $25,000 in training grants, and will provide Rushville with an $110,000 grant to assist in further improvements.

“We believe we are at the perfect place with the perfect plan at the perfect time in our efforts to reach all of the rural areas with broadband services that are much needed for economic development, education, healthcare and smart-grid technology. Our investment in Indiana makes this an exciting time for us,” said Greg Jarman, CEO of Omnicity.

Omnicity began offering its wireless data, video and voice services to rural Indiana markets in 2003 and has established partnerships with local governments and rural electric cooperatives to serve its nearly 6,000 subscribers across the state.

“The City of Rushville is pleased to have Omnicity locate their headquarters here and create new opportunities for the community. These quality jobs, in today’s economy, speak highly of Omnicity and we are proud to have them in our community,” said Rushville Mayor Merv Bostic.

Omnicity Corp. (OMCY.OB) Secures First State Contract with Indiana DNR

Yesterday, Omnicity Corp. announced that it had been awarded its first contract to provide broadband services to the State of Indiana. The company was the winning bidder in an RFP to provide services for the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) with the State of Indiana. Omnicity was the winning bidder and the contract was announced this week for Omnicity to provide the essential services at the Mississinewa Lake and Miami State Recreation Area.

Omnicity continues to progress with its business model to deliver broadband services to rural America. Providing services to the DNR demonstrates that its model is being accepted on a statewide basis. Covering much of the rural historical area in north central Indiana, Mississinewa Lake is a 12,000 acre reservoir. It was built to control flooding and provide recreation in the form of boating, fishing, camping and picnicking. The Company will install its Cisco’s Broadband Wireless Access (BWX) WiMAX antennas and base stations (Tie-in to Omnicity’s overall RFP and grant applications totaling $31m).

Greg Jarman, CEO of Omnicity, stated, “We look forward to providing our services to the DNR and proving that our model works for rural state park facilities statewide and even nationwide. Our team is experienced and understands the importance of what this contract means to the state park and to the local community that surrounds the park.”

He continued, “Omnicity will install its Cisco equipment inside the state park and will provide services to visitors, campers and staff of the DNR as well as the rural communities that surround the park. We believe that providing high speed internet services to campers and employees of state parks in extreme rural environments such as this is great exposure for Omnicity to its core target market and we are very pleased to have been chosen above all others by the State of Indiana to provide these services.”
