These presentations resulted in a lot of exciting opportunities. Through a British marketing consultant, SFI is targeting a listing at some airport Duty Free shops in the Middle East. One of Scandinavia's largest retail suppliers with more than 400 sales reps across Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland, visiting all retail and convenience stores is strongly considering carrying our product in his catalogue. An international trading company would like to introduce the smoke free cigarette in no less than 5 of Europe's largest airports. The 2.5-hour focus group test of the "REAL Smokefree High-Tec Cigarette" took place the 22nd of October 2009 at Bryant West's Head Office in Auckland, New Zealand. Participants were divided into 4 groups, on average including 3 - 4 heavy smokers and 4 - 5 moderate smokers from the wider Auckland area and selected from a broad and diverse social demographic.

In particular, Bryant West was interested in the group's product absorption, the effect of the product on the end user, the ease of product usage, the proposed costs of the product as well as the end users perceived benefits and concerns of "REAL -- the 1st Smokefree High-Tec Cigarette."

In general, the participants in those focus groups agreed that REAL is a viable solution and smoking alternative. The moderate smokers in the focus groups reported that they believe that the product will greatly aid in changing their smoking habits. 85% of the participants believed that the effects of REAL where comparable to normal cigarette smoking and 70% reported that they would actively use the product if available as a consumer item. Interestingly, all participants, from heavy smokers to low usage smokers all freely commented on the positive after-taste of Smokefree Innotec's "totally smoke-free cigarette."

The world's first, totally smoke-free hi-tec cigarette, REAL Smokefree, was presented and tested by an audience divided into groups of light and heavy smokers of various age, gender and geographical origin. These groups were asked to test the smokeless product in four well-defined categories: first impression -- evaluation and appreciation -- comparison within the concept -- buying intention.

The tests were performed in 3 phases: the preliminarily quantitative phase with the general public through phone interviews; the qualitative approach with a series of group discussions and product testing; and, finally, a quantitative approach with product testing to enumerate the findings of the qualitative part of the research.

The report shows that the REAL Smokefree 'cigarette' is perceived as a compelling alternative to regular smoking. All participants were excited and enthusiastic at being invited to take part in this process. Strong points brought forward are: the heating sensation experienced when inhaling; the look and feel of a 'real cigarette'; and, the user friendliness of the charger, filter and stick. 65% of the test persons would buy the product immediately if it would have been available at the test site and would use it on a regular basis. 68% of the audience preferred the 'cool mint' taste over the Virginian blend: fresher and giving more pleasure in general. 73% would like to see a fruity, coffee or chocolate taste: an idea that SFIO already decided to stay away from. And 25% would like to see a more colorful version of the charger. Everybody involved confirmed that the suggested consumer price of the starter kit of 99EUR and 9EUR for a 20 filter pack would be no inhibition to purchase the product. Only 13% would never consider buying a smoke free alternative and rather quit smoking.
