AgFeed announces $10 million share buyback program; Management agrees to 1-year share lockup


NEW YORK (AP) -- AgFeed Industries Inc., a commercial hog producer and premix feed company in China, said Monday its board of directors approved a $10 million share buy back program.
The company said the repurchases will be funded with available cash on hand and shares of common stock bought back under the program will be returned to AgFeed's treasury.

Meanwhile Monday, AgFeed said its management agreed to a share lock up agreement, where they will be prohibited from selling any company stock for a year.

AgFeed is a U.S. company that has its operations in China, where there is a sizable market for pork. It has two businesses: premix animal feed and hog farms.

Its shares were unchanged at $5.67 in premarket trading Monday.
