Questions? Start in here first.

-- Searching for a stock --
Use the "search" link on the top menu bar to find a stock and please try to keep all posts under one thread by just simply replying to the already started thread. This will help keep the thread active and updated with all important information

-- Posting a chart in your message --
If you want to post a chart that will update with your message please follow these steps...

If you would like to post a chart that will update as the week goes on please go to www.bigcharts.com and enter the stock symbol on top of the page and click on "interactive charting" On the left side you will see different "buttons" like "time frame" "compare to" "indicators" and "chart style" Time frame has already by default been opened for you but its set to ONE YEAR, I change mine to 3 or 6 months, so click on "indicators" and "Chart style" to "OPEN" those menu options up. Set your "indicators" moving average menu to SMA (3 line) and enter 20,50,100 in the open white box that by default has "9" in it. (you can use other moving averages if you like such as 5,20,32 or whatever you choose) Now select a "upper indicator" and the 3 "lower indicators" that you would like to choose. I usually use "upper indicator" parabolic sar and "lower indicators" of Williams %R, RSI and Fast stochastic. Lastly go to "chart style" and "price display" use candle, "background" you can use whatever and "chart size" I use large. Once you have done this to your liking click on "STORE CHART SETTINGS" just under "chart size" this will store your settings for any other charts you need or even when you come back at a later time. Now use the left column slider to move back up to the top, make sure you have the correct symbol and then click on the RED button that says "Draw chart" (make sure the symbol and all indicators are correct first" This will now draw your chart in the middle of the page with all of your indicators.

Last step, right click on that chart and a new window will open up. Click on "properties" it will be the very bottom option. A new window will open and in the middle you will see "Address (URL)" Put your mouse in front of the "http" and hold down the left mouse botton and while holding the left button down "drag the mouse to the lower right so you will highlight in blue the address, but keep sliding to the right until all of the address is copied (there are parts of the address that you cant see, so dont stop sliding at what you can see, keep going until the whole address is copied) no while the whole address is highlighted blue right click on it and select "COPY"

Good so far, now come to your post here and type in your reply with your stock symbol and closing price. Enter down a few spaces and now click on the "yellow" mountain picture on top of this message page it is the "enter image" icon. Place your mouse cursor in the skinny white box that the image window just opened and delete the "http://" that is already there and then right click and paste the address that you got from big charts. Click on ok! And the image will be pasted in a code in the message box looking something like this. (mine is not showing because i purposely put in some spaces and changed the img to ing so you could see what it will look like. Now hit submit and your chart should be there!! It will update as the day goes on

TO FIND THE INSERT IMAGE LINK...

start by hitting "reply" in the REPLY window you will see up top here the "B" for bold the "I" for italic the "U" for underline...keep going over to the right past the blue globe and just under the blue undo arrow is the "yellow" INSERT IMAGE icon, click on it! Paste your address there and you should be good to go

Enjoy and thanks for posting a chart with your reply to add some good DD along with your words

How I find stocks http://www.stockhideout.com/showthread.php?t=942

There are some other really good indicator lessons in the 4 pages there under the main Chart Lessons and Technical Analysis section but these are my favorites. Do I suggest you read all that now? NO WAY, but take one or two per day/week and memorize them and ask for help if you dont understand. I am here to help along with many others. MP6140 also has a great trading system that you can get into down the road if you want.
