![]() | View Systems, Inc. (OTC BB: VYST), a leading homeland defense solutions provider, announced today a new addition to the VFR (Visual First Responder) line of products. The original VFR is a sought-after product for Hazmat technicians. The need to have steady, wireless video has been clearly indicated by the response communities. Many tactical units, in addition to search and rescue teams, have asked View to develop an additional product suited to their needs. The VFRM2 addresses those specific needs and provides more performance while maintaining mission flexibility. "The M2 stands for multi-mission," states Homeland Defense Products Manager, Dave Johansen. "The VFRM2 is a 'hands-free' system which is what S.W.A.T. members have asked for. We have received a tremendous amount of input from first responders, and they have helped us design a real winner." The VFRM2 has multiple video inputs to allow several capabilities in the same mission such as thermal imaging and flexible neck camera usage. The VFRM2 can provide video when the situation will not allow standard wireless transmission; for example, collapsed structures or high interference environments. The VFRM2 maintains the excellent wireless range coupled with the heavy video encryption and rugged construction first seen in the original VFR. The VFR was selected by R&D Magazine as one of the 100 Most Technologically Significant New Products of the Year. VFR enables commanders to witness frontline activity "live." According to www.avem.org, R&D Magazine is a news-oriented publication that reaches more than 90,000 scientists and engineers. The publication "reports and analyzes leading-edge scientific and technological discoveries that drive product and process development across all industries (www.avem.org)." View Systems CEO, Gunther Than, states, "The VFRM2 has applications in many more market segments than the original VFR. We are also integrating a state-of-the-art multi-sensing technology that will shake the market and set View Systems apart. The VFR series is a success in the homeland defense market." (VYST, Trade ), a leading homeland defense solutions provider, has announced a significant increase in sales and an increased demand for the SecureScan III with biometric and ID scanning capabilities. View Systems received purchase orders from the Division of Pre-Trial Detention Center in Baltimore and the Maryland House of Corrections. The SecureScan III biometric system continues to produce increased sales from the Maryland Department of Corrections. Funded by the US Department of Justice, the SecureScan III's non-contact imaging capabilities reduce the need for wanding and pat-down searches. View Systems Executive, Charlie Nelson, states, "The biometric SecureScan III features a fingerprint identification and verification system, a state-issued ID scanning device, and a visitor badge printing system. The benefits of the system will save the states tens of thousands of dollars each year in reduced paper and paid work hours, while still insuring a safe environment for correctional facility staff and the public." ![]() | BALTIMORE, MD, Aug 24, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- View Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: VYST), a leading homeland defense solutions provider, announced today that additional purchase orders for SecureScan units have been received from two correctional facilities in Maryland: The Maryland House of Corrections in Jessup and MRDCC. View Systems executive, Charles Nelson, states, "Commissioner Frank Sizer initiated the effort to attain funds for new security equipment for all Maryland prisons in October of 2005. The first SecureScan units were installed in January of 2006. His vision was to upgrade security for all Maryland Correctional Facilities. His suggestions to incorporate biometric fingerprint scanning and positive ID recognition have greatly added to the abilities of the SecureScan. I have great respect for Commissioner Sizer and I hope the citizens of Maryland become aware of his year-long struggle to get these units in place." Funded by the Department of Justice, SecureScan's non-contact imaging capabilities reduce the need for wanding and pat-down searches. While ignoring common items like coins, watches, and jewelry, the SecureScan is sensitive enough to locate hidden razor blades and cell phones on its video image, which are crucial in correctional facility searches. Gunther Than, CEO of View Systems, states, "The vision and guidance of Commissioner Sizer has given us the opportunity to create a technology specifically for use in correctional facilities. Knowing that we can fill a need in our own back yard goes to the core of a business created for the welfare and common good of the people of this state." |
