What is your take profit and stop loss?

Howdy folks,

It's a simple question. What is your take profit and stop loss point? Are you aiming for 5%, 10%, 20% or more? Based off of how much you are looking to win, how much are you willing to lose on a trade? This assumes your levels are set in stone based on your system. If they're not set in stone and you base it off the charts, what size move are you generally looking for, and then how much are you typically willing to lose?

Now, given your answer, what has been your win/loss ratio?

Unfortunately this is a penny stock board, and perhaps will get very outrageous answers. I'm more interested in the trades you place on stocks that actually have to file reports. I'm done with pennies.

So what's your goal?

Gains 100% minimum !!!! HAAAAAAAA Glad to hear ya gave up pennies!!! Beaten downs REITS is what I am watching!!!

Check out some of the divies on these!! Only because they are so beaten down they look so attractive, and if they can weather this downturn, IMHO, would be good choices for future gains!!

I have tried many strategies myself and have settled on one that gains me consistent 1%-8% daily. I have win loss ratios approaching 93%. I make my buys after 1pm when many stocks pullback.I immediately put in sell orders for 5% above purchase price for an instant gap play that clears out at next days open, often half sell off within 15 minutes.I purchase between 8 and 20 stocks sinking in $5k per stock.1% does seem small after commisions (in my case 1% of $5k is only $36 after commisions) but multiply that by 8 to 20 and i make a decent living. I never place stop loss orders.Very often the same stock that sold off in the morning will come up again in the afternoon scan. Not a problem, i rebuy it back.I ignore commisions and only focus on positive cash flow. One thing about pennies, the risk is too great and the effort to make back a 30% loss on a penny is too much for my style. My price range is .10 to $12.Soon my price floor will be raised again to .25 then $1.00 then $5 as account value grows steady small % gains will equal big money as time goes on.Liquidity on higher price stocks makes entry and exit so much easier that it outweighs the possible runs the penny stocks have.
my plays for tomorrow: CNXT,SANM,LVLT,VIV,CWTR,CEM,PIR,F,DYN,IPG,HOV,BZH, S,JDSU,PSUN,CZN,SOV,MRVL
If you follow these they will all almost always go green sometime during the day.The key is to be patient wait for 1% or higher bid and make the sale.

Are you seriously playing all of those? I'd rather focus on 1-5 plays that I have great confidence in than play 20-30.

rjinw - Thanks for the reply. How are you determining your price floor level and at what point do you raise it?

Wow what a good day guys. I had 18 stocks and have just finished selling my last 6 stocks.I set a 4% sell order for all, i had stepped out for the morning and came back and 12 had sold! the downside is that i missed one that was up 19%(IMB) and another 9% (S). I'm actually confident enough to where i can walk away from trading now. There is safety in numbers and thats why i purchase so many to limit the downside. My entire watchlist had about 30 stocks and i went 30-0 !!. The way i measure win/loss is if they go green at least 1% for the day its a win because i'm pulling the trigger to sell unless i see it moving fast .,thats why the seemingly too good to be true numbers. If i measur at the CLOSE my win/loss is closer to 40-50%.
