Thread: Chat feature suggestion

could you fix the Send to: listing
so it's alphabetizes or something?
it's really aggravating trying to
address a poster while having to
scroll through a few hundreds names
to find the right name for the guy.

This is possible already, top right A-Z icon will sort the main list far right but not that list. For now I suggest you sort the main list far right and use that for your private messaging needs. We will speak to the programmers as to why that list doesn't follow the main sort.

on my PC; the response time is slow when their
are hundreds in chat, so maybe i need a new PC.

anyway, here's something new for you;

I saw your SDSS stock pick when I got into chat,
but as soon as the banner ad updated I lost it.
you might want to implant your pick in a spot
that does not share the banner ad if you want
members to be reminded of it all day long.
(especially if they use ad blockers like I do)




I found a better way to send personal message.
instead of clicking on the User in Room column,
you can simply click on their name inside chat,
and a small menu comes down over their name.
very cool... sorry to bother you over that one.

I think I see what's wrong with your Tuesday/Thursday morning picks.
my banner's fine till 9:30am - then the pick gets posted and most have
ad blockers that nullify it. so hundreds in chat have to rejoin chat to
see it - which slows down everyone else trying to get in to begin with.

chat/site developers may wanna try a different way to post your picks.

There is yet another hazard in not fixing this - that I noticed this morning;
during the first minutes of trading, some chat members take advantage of
the confusion by posting their own stocks at stockhideout's pick, then
say they were "just kidding" - but the damage it done if a reader takes
their word for it and hits a buy at the open on the wrong stock symbol.

Chat moderators themselves may be so busy putting in their own trades,
that first minute, that they overlook this kind of abuse as it's happening.

I totally agreed , and I know that some chat members know the pick and they did not say anything , all they say XSXN go go go , ect.. . Anyway
kinda dissappointed
