MP -- simplified "TER" analyzer

originally done for my partner in crime as a fast scan method, its been found to work unbelieveably well -- if you have the RSIWLR, or wish a fast, COMPLETELY VISUAL method of finding bottoms and tops OR those nice little swings, check this out on either the free "prophet.net" charts or even better, the realtime version.

only two things to watch for -----

SIGNAL LINES AT THE BOTTOM indicate . . . . . BOTTOMS (think about that !)
RSI MOVES UP AND OVER THE FULL STOCH LINE and/or the dotted signal lines = HEY, this looks good !
ACCUMULATION/DISTRIBUTION LINE -- if at top, the rally will sell off very close to when the RSI 2 hits 100% as the stock is fully accumulated. IF AT BOTTOM, with all other indicators, RALLY stands excellent chance of continuing up nicely. If the stock price is moving up and the A/D does not, or worse -- heads down, then the rally will be very weak. On a longer range chart, the divergence would be a SELL signal, and conversly, if the pps was moving down and the A/D line is moving up, you have a BUY signal.

LINEAR REGRESSION LINES -- show "normal" support and resistance for the stocks movement (usually within the channel) NORMALLY, stocks DO NOT penetrate the top line unless they have super news or are being manipulated

oh yeah -- all indicators are SUPERIMPOSED on each other -- for detailed setup see my RSIWLR indicator instructions.

SO SIMPLE and works SO well !

INDICATOR VALUES

OVERLAYS ON THE CHART ITSELF

sma 50 on volume
DEMA (10)
LINEAR REGRESSION CHANNEL (100%)
TIMESERIES 50
TIMESERIES 25 --- the ts indicators are EXTREMELY STRONG support or resistance indicators -- watch your stock as these point out HIGHS amazingly well !
SMA 20
SMA 9
BOLLINGER BANDS (20,2) i also use (10,2 on my charts -- they do interesting things on crosses !
LINEAR REGRESSION CHANNEL (100%) ON FULL STOCHASTICS (10,3,10) -- this one goes on the indicator pak and not on the chart itself --- direction of the channel shows safety of the trade --- DOWN is less preferable to UP, but do-able if you watch exits and dont hang around !
STANDARD DEVIATION CHANNEL -- xtreme movements (spikes) are registered here !

INDICATOR VALUES IN INDICATOR PANEL

FULL STOCHASTICS -- (10,3,10) 9 as a value can certainly be used !
FAST STOCHASTICS --(10,10) 9 can also be used
RSI, WILDER (2)
DOUBLE SMOOTHED STOCHASTICS (10,5,9) Identifies bottoms with a bit more clarity if the other indicators are moving around
ACCUMULATION/DISTRIBUTION LINE --- DONT skip this one !

a version for quotetracker also exists -- in fact, two versions !

enjoy and trade well

MP: Does TER replace RSIWLR?

MP: I have started reading your archived materials the last while and am a bit confused on the relation of the RSIWLR and "TER" analyzer. Is the TER to replace the RSIWLR or work along with it? Should I set up both or just one?

Also I went to PCquotes.com as indicated in the "Completely Non Technical for the rest of us thread" and attempted to find the chart and indicator settings for the PCR etc. as you describe but found no indicators. Have they changed the site or is this something you need to register for at the site to access?
Lots of stuff here to absorb, thanks for making it available to all of us.

MP -- the TER filter and the RSIWLR

hey

the TER analyzer is an ADDITION to the RSIWLR and set up as a seperate chart on "prophet.net". TER and I have found it to be, essentially, a simplified analyzer that still contains everything one needs to determine bottoms and tops and allows easier stockfetcher scanning because of the reduced number of variables to be entered into a scan !

I will only say that TER was a relatively new trader who had amassed a ton of bags, some of which still remain but are slowly dying off --- he simply didnt know when to sell ! using the analyzer and doing weekly scans, he is now actually doing better than I am by following ONLY HIS OWN SCANS and waiting for them to move off the bottom, remaining in for two days and selling the 3rd day gap !

the version of the RSIWLR that i presently use can only be used with the "real time" subscription service from prophet (it contains WAY more indicators) and can be complex if youre not a geek like me, but it does allow one to set up one day, real time charts which will tell one when a stock will reverse (to either side) when "flipping" a stock, (although my quotetracker "flip" charts will do that also ! I simply use one to verify and confirm the other !

Alas, pc quotes had tremendous problems and no longer provides their charts for free --- a tremendous loss as that one indicator alone was worth a fortune -- SORRY, but I miss it also !

enjoy and trade well

Thanks-MP

MP thanks for the reply. I will set up both the TER and an older version of your RSIWLR on the prophet website that does not need the real time quotes and start playing around with them and see what they show. Looks like they will be a big help. Won't need the real time quotes right now as I can only use it as a end of day scan right now (darn day job). Will look at the Stockfetcher scanning info next.

MP, you mentioned a Quotetracker version. Can you point to it?
Also,in your MM discussion, sell to an ecn, how do you know if say,ARCA is buying that stock without LIIs?
Thanks

realtime TER

Hi MP, is there any way you can give us details about the real time version of either the TER analyzer or RSIWRL? I do have both real time access to prophet and also quotetracker. Also what's the difference between the Linear Regression Channel and standard deviation channel on prophet.net? Thank you for any info,
