  |  FHAL Mike I finally have your system up and working. I have been using Medved QT for about three years but I have been so busy loosing money (j/k) that I never had the time to explore the whole thing. Thanks a lot for explaining it so efficiently. I have a question for you If you had no position on FHAL and you wanted to get in, how would you play it ?. Thanks in advance getgreen (your #1 fan)  |

 | MP -- METHOD UPDATE hey, thnx for trying it --- it works ! having said that, the updated version has been in use for close to a year and is being constantly tweaked. an improved version of the original, it also has most emphasis on "flipping" the intraday moves -- the support, resistance, trend lines, retracements and posting about dips beginning and ends that i speak of in chat comes totally from these charts. what it does do very well, that other charts do not show immediately, is determine a stocks direction for the day --- silly as that sounds, listen in on chat and hear the incorrect estimates that are given, just because a stock may have an intraday rise. The system is not as easily fooled as people tend to be ! it will be published -- i just need to prove to myself that its always correct !

Also I can see that number for Linear Regression Channel is set at 100 on one of charts. Do you always use 100 or do you change this as needed? If so, how/when? And last question, Medved Quote Trader changed in the meantime a little bit. There is no more Linear Regression Channel, but I believe it is now replaced with 'Single Regression Channel' correct? TIMESERIES FORECAST -- the 50 is a phenominally strong support or resistance line, as you will see if you watch different stocks -- pay a LOT of attention to where it is ! when it goes under the pps, along with the other TS lines, it is a VERY strong indication that the pps may rise soon ! the LINEAR REGRESSION CHANNEL has been replaced by the SINGLE REGRESSION CHANNEL and i set it to the number of TRADING days in the period to be examined (ie: a 3 month chart has approx 62 trading days so I set my 3 month charts to 62,2.3) (the old channel was always set to 100, btw) the medveds HAVE responded to my requests (lol -- i used to scream at them every week -- hard to say it was a "request"! and you can do wonders with the new paintbar alerts --- more on this later) the "moving" alerts are used to find stocks that have crossed a specific moving average, mostly during the afternoon lull, and therefore desirable for afternoon trading) and YES, there is a much further developed version that is presently being tested on FOREX as well as equities and has performed as highly as can ever be wanted since the more predictable and less volitile the symbol being followed is, the better the results from the method ! hope that helps and that you understand the original instructions took a very long time to assemble, as i was trading and taking screen shots, recording a fast analysis to be worked on at nite and trying to not lose money at the same time --- the newest one is a combination of all the methods ive published and worked with over years of trading and im working myself up psychologically to the point where i can assemble the new one. but understand, for all practical purposes, the original version was VERY correct and try as I might, can only be improved upon for very specific situations, such as scalping, flipping or the different markets such as the FOREX that i mentioned before ! The original can be used for flipping simply by using two charts, a 30 minute trend and a 3 minute trading chart and working from them --- you will be amazed at how accurate it is !

Later your momentum system kept me in until sell signal. I know, looking back, momentum was keep going up, I should have stayed in, but I followed the plan and script, made over 30% gain and I'm really happy. Thank you again!
