MP Chart help please?

Questions about Medved Quote’s intra-day charts.
Momentum: When parameters are set at 25,12 like the instructions say my 1minute chart indicators work fine however when the same setting is put on a higher minute (IE 5, 10, 15 ect) chart no indicators show up. If I reset the momentum on the higher minute chart to the default settings (14,3) the indicators appear and seem to work well. Am I missing something in having these two charts set with the same 25,12 settings?

Pivot Points: Sup1,2 Res1,2 and pivot are not showing their lines on any charts? I have checked Show line labels, and Show line prices, also Adj. Scale and nothing but the titles show up on the upper left side of the charts. The colors are the correct colors I have chosen but the lines are not there?

Opening charts as a group: Is there anyway to save a grouping of charts so I can open all at once the next time I start my day (or whenever for that matter)? As per the instructions I have grouped two intra-day charts, Raw data, and level two together and pressed the attach pen on each chart. When I want to get to my other programs however I have to shrink down each individual chart. It would be much more convenient to have all charts linked together if possible so I would not have to close/shrink each individual chart every time.
Great program you have here, today was the first day I've used it and already I've made a trade through it via my Ameratrade account. Like you said though might take a few days to really get use to it.
Thanks and keep up the good work.

probably, since they should be set to 25, 20 but be careful as ameritrade as of late seems "late" with their backfills. ie: i will switch to a 10 min chart 10 mins after the open and get a blank momentum indicator -- usually i have to wait a few mins AFTER the time period before they read correctly ! see if switching to a 3 or 5 minute setting at the 10 minute point solves that. if so, we can only wait till ameritrade gets it right again !================================================== ====

first check that you have not mistakenly checked "hide pivot points" on the upper left of the parameters box and then make sure that you have a checkmark in each of the boxes at the top of the color chosen box (which also contains "adj scale". if none of that works, you have chosen a "transparent" settings on your colors and must get rid of that !

once you have set up your screen(s) as you wish, going to another program should simply send qt to the background and everything should return as it was after you bring it forward again ! for shutdown, simply have all your charts, etc set as you like and close out the program --- it will save your settings and they will be back the next day.

DO NOT MINIMIZE any chart but simply click on the "dash" next to the pushpin and the chart will go to the lower taskbar, where you only need click on it again to return it to where it belongs --- oh ya, double click on a chart and it goes full screen, double click when full screen and it goes back to its original size !

glad you like it --- pretty simple, huh ?

as you gain experience with it you will know which sell signals are really "shakes" and which are legitimate, but i advise you sell on the first sell signal that appears until you are very used to it !

trade well

MP help again please, I'm having teething pains!

Momemtum @25,12 is still a problem for any time setting above 3 minutes. The 3 minute charts show about a third of the tracking lines which the 1 minute show. I can set a ten minute chart with momo set at 14,6 and it shows up in about 3/4 of the chart and seems to track well also. You say it could be Ameritrade's feed, if so should I change my feed to a freebie to see if that helps?
The momemtum question brings up another about posting snap shots of charts here. I had snapshots of todays problems but couldn't figure out how to get them here. I found in the FAQ where it says to post a file you have to go to "browse" at the bottom of this page? I don't see that option here?

The pivot points still are not working and I've checked everything that is required. Do I need to install a formula some place or is this program supposed to post results on the charts itself? I'm still getting each title at the top of the charts with the correct color but again no lines. I was considering uninstalling the program and reinstalling it to see if that would help?
Finally I've just about gotten a grasp on the chart grouping options. However one item remains, how in the heck do you get the quote tracker portfolio window to go on top of all of the other charts that are open? I know it can be done because I did it two days ago but later attempts have proved fruitless. As it is now I can drag it all over my desktop but it still only goes behind any chart that is open.
I'm really digging this program so far and catch myself on it most of the day. Sure is going to be nice when I get all the kinks worked out so I can join in the day fun you guys seem to be having with it.
Thanks again for the help

Thanks Stoploss, however...

It was just a matter of 86ing the whole program and then reinstalling. Works like a champ now and I use it daily. Great program!

should be no problem at all, but if youre trading pennies you might investigate the cost of doing so with scott, which i understand is very high in comparison to most of the other brokerages.

I can not get the pivot points to show up on my intraday charts and some of the bottom indicators (like momentum) dynamically change to the point where they are off the screen and I can not see where they are.

What am I doing wrong?

I reinstalled the program and that didn't help.

thanks!

-T2

p.s. Using Scottrade real-time streaming
