MP -- JON ROWE'S SCDS SCANNER !

hey peoples

take a look at this little market scanner that Jon Rowe came up with and see what it can do for you. it comes pre-arranged with the "muddy method" which youve heard me talk about 100's of times and you can have it scan for a tremendous amount of technical parameters !

I've had several people contact and ask "What is the SmallCap Desktop
Scanner?". I may not have explained it well enough so I figured I'd try
again.

The reason I had it developed is that I didn't have time to keep track
of the stocks that appeared through the day and even if I did I had the
following issues:

1. Missed stocks that show up then drop off so I needed to run at
regular intervals
2. Between scan only a few of the 20-30 symbols would change and it was
difficult to keep track of just the few that did
3. Create a unique list of all symbols throughout the day without duplicates
4. Easily export symbols for charting
5. Store all the symbols so I could go back several days and look for
pullbacks
6. Filter out the tsx and tsx-v exchange
7. Have all 4 scans in one place and remove any duplicate symbols
8. Automatically start and stop each day when market opens/closes
9. Capture symbols without loading all my searches each day
10. Link to a charting application so I didn't have to copy/paste dozens
of symbols to a charting application and then remove the ones that I
didn't want to watch.
11. Track the time the stock first appeared

I was able to resolve the above issues and more with the SCDS. Take a
look at it I think you will find it eliminates several of the problems
you have when you can't watch the market and even provides additional
functionality for those who can. Others who have used it found it was
the best way to take advantage of the SmallCap Center information.

I've spent about 6 months and $4K developing so I'd say it's much more
than a 'shareware' program. It even comes with a guide on how to trade
the pullback candidates. I'm providing it for free until/if the
StockGroup says I have to charge something (since it is their data and
search engine).

Regards,
Jon

SCDS Download:
http://www.muddymoney.com/installs/f...lcap072905.zip

To use:
1. After unzipping files double click on the smallcap072905.msi file to
install
2. Go to Start>Programs>SmallCap Demo to launch
3. Click Scan

All the Muddy/Avery/HG settings are already programmed and you will
immediately see the list of recent results from Friday. If you leave it
scanning tomorrow it will add all the symbols that came up during the
day and the time each appeared.

It can't get any easier to track and trade the SmallCap candidates.
Although I'm happy to make the $$ from the candidates I'd feel better
that the development effort was helping a large number of people in the
Muddy group. So, do me a small favor and run it for just a few days to see if
it helps.

Thanks in advance,

Jon

SCDS SNANNER

Thanks for sharing this with us. Unfortunately for me, this company I work for has a firewall that prevents me from downloading the program I'm therefore going to download it at home and take what I can from there.

Much appreciated!!

Whats up?

I downloaded and received it and am now wondering what to do with it and how it all got there? Does this program go to the market to find these and then come back with the ones that the program is looking for? It seems like a scan like you would use at stockcharts or stockfetcher only it does all the work for you, is that a correct analysis? Well now that I have asked all these ?'s I notice that the program has a help page loaded with all the answers. Great program so far. I am looking forward to trying it and I will let you know how it works. I noticed that I have 60 days to use it? Will there be a charge thereafter for its use? If so, how much?

MP -- JON ROWES SCANNER

hey

lets see -- yes, it goes out to the market and brings back information !

it comes preloaded with 4 scans based on one aspect of "the muddy method" but will allow you to scan for just about any technical parameter you so choose, such as coming off bottoms, RSI at a certain point, abnormal volume, etc (and how to create new scans is in the help section)

do notice that the scan is realtime, but thestockgroup processes the information and makes it available every 15 minutes so in effect, the information is delayed somewhat. of course, real time info like this usually costs from $40 to $50 per month, so the delay has certain advantages.

i see that the program is shareware, but i havent a clue as to what its cost will be, but i do not think it will be particularly expensive ! do keep in mind that if one finds a program that helps them make money, then any amount, within some reason, is worth it !

enjoy and give your feedback to the creator of the program

Tnx for tools to work smarter in less time!

I haven't tried this new tool but after reading and searching this site on muddy method I ask:

- A search on muddy method didn't find a discussion as detailed as can be found on MP's method, or maybe one isn't needed; reversal from previous high?

- I feel that an automated RSIWLR tool like this shareware tool or a script that runs at stockfetcher, locally via Amibroker/WealthLab that can save alot of time too. It would be really great if it could sort the RSIWLR charts by all criteria starting to bounce of their simultaneous lows (the RSIWLR buy trigger). ??

Clarifying: I did see a script for stockfecher or some place in the tutorial, but it runs one stock at a time. This tool scans the whole market and picks out best candidates base on the muddy trading system. I'm wondering if it makes sense to do the same based on RSIWLR? How about just scanning my watch list in near real time with sorted best plays at the top?

LOL!! Next you'll wonder if I'll ask if the profits could just be deposited to my account automatically too? )

Thanks to all for great contributions and helps!

MP -- J ROWES SCANNER

hey

while i dont use it intraday as often as i used to, due to a different manner of trading that I now use, it works just fine for me and provides me with "gappers" for the EOD buys, should i wish to trade that way !

the one peculiarity I experience (and this just may be my system config) is that when i first open it I am told that it has expired. I simply open it again and all is well.

note that it scans every 15 minutes, and notice what TIME it says the next scan will take place on the bottom bar ---- you adjust this with the "scan" button on the top left corner using the arrow which opens a standard time and date drop down box. if this is wrong, there will be no scans, of course !

additionally, check to make sure you HAVE scans in the queue by clicking on the "Queue" button and making sure there are scans on the right hand side. You can also use the "Create" button to manufacture your own scans, saving them into the queue box and then moving them from the left to the right side of the queue !

sounds more complicated than it really is cause all of this takes maybe 15 seconds to complete, and once done does not have to be done again !

hope that helps
