Default Paulsons options for GSE

Hello there,

I was curious about validity of Paulson’s remarks on the future GSE. Do you feel that his proposition will coincide with the plans of a new administration, and if this (breaking down FNM and FRE and instead installing a number of private but regulated by government mortgage guarantors) is the only way to tackle the housing problem and its future management.

Do you think that FNM and FRE have a chance for future privatization?

All opinions are appreciated!

Thanks
