Other than sharing the LONGEST undefended border in the world....Canada has RESOURCES / RESOURCES / RESOURCES....GALORE!!!!!!!

Canada is internationally known for its EXTREME abundant natural resources. Wheat, lumber and fish come quickly to mind, however, NUMEROUS minerals, such as nickle, copper, gold, silver and NOW DIAMONDS, also make important contributions to our domestic economy and export trade.

The range of Canadian mineral production is broad....you wanna know why?....simple: Canada is THE LARGEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD ( land surface ).....betcha didn't think about that now did you?
Combine this now with FAVOURABLE geology, EXTENSIVE exploration activity and readily available risk capital. These factors have allowed once small companies such as Alcan, Cominco, Inco and Norada to grow domestically and then to compete successfully on an international scale.

Today more than 75% of Canadian mineral production orginates from FEWER than 25% of Canadian mining companies. Yet there are HUNDREDS of smaller mining companies representing a very broad exploration base and it is from some of these "gems" that tomorrow's mining giants may emerge.
