Panamanian Bellhaven Copper & Gold (TSX: BHV) reported the discovery of a new mineralized zone at its Cerro Quema gold project in the southern Azuero peninsula of Panama.

According to Bellhaven, the new mineralized zone appears to have a strike length of at least 800m, widths of up to 200m and an oxide zone of up to 60m in depth from the surface.

"These drill holes indicate the presence of significant additional mineralization at Cerro Quema and serve to create continuity between the existing deposits," Bellhaven CEO Julio Benedetti said.

British Columbia-based junior Chapleau Resources (TSX-V: CHI) has completed a seven-hole diamond drill program for 1,366m at the La Yegua porphyry copper-gold project in Peru, the company reported.

The drilling intersected 190m of 0.15% copper and 0.03g/t gold, 150m at 0.14% copper and 0.05g/t gold, and 56m grading 0.14% copper and 0.06g/t gold.

Vancouverite Dorex Minerals (TSX-V: DOX) has started a diamond drilling program on its Carmelita property in northern Chile, a company statement said.

Dorex plans to test at least four mineralized zones during the 1,000m, five-hole drill program.

Vancouverite EXMIN Resources (TSX-V: EXM) and its JV partner AmMex Gold Mining (OTC BB: AMXG) have started drilling on the magnetic anomaly identified during a ground geophysical program at the Cerro Gordo project in Mexico's Zacatecas state, the former reported.

"Also, we have several other targets that have not yet been thoroughly explored," EXMIN's executive VP of exploration, Craig Gibson, said.

Layne de México has been hired to conduct a 2,000m reverse circulation drill program, designed to test a maximum depth of some 250m.
