![]() | Hi Gang... This is "WHY" i predict DOX to be in the range of 0.60 - 0.75.... they just released this: Dorex samples 3.66% Cu at Carmelita, files report 2007-02-16 18:40 ET - News Release Mr. Peter Walton reports Dorex Minerals Inc. has filed on SEDAR a National Instrument 43-101 geological report, pertaining to the optioning for 100-per-cent interest of the 2,400-hectare Carmelita property, located in Chile, South America, near the town of Trapiche, about 55 kilometres northeast of the city of La Serena. This report was prepared by senior professional geologist, Stephen Kenwood. Over the last 15 years, portions of the Chilean iron belt have received more intensive exploration attention due to significant iron oxide-copper-gold discoveries at Candelaria and Manto Verde, both of which are located several hundred kilometres north of the Carmelita property. It has been suggested that these, and other copper and copper-gold deposits in the Chilean iron belt, are associated with structures along the Atacama fault zone, a north-northeast-trending regional structure that stretches for over 1,000 kilometres west of the Carmelita property. The first modern exploration of the Carmelita property occurred in 1990 and 1991 when Minera Andale Ltda. conducted reconnaissance exploration on the property. Highlights from this reconnaissance program to the north of the Zoral mine were an 80-metre-long continuous chip sample taken at the Elvira outcrop that averaged 0.80 per cent copper and several chip samples taken at the Quebrada de las Machas area to the south, highlights from the latter being 0.30 per cent copper and 40 parts per billion gold over a 100-metre outcrop and 1.28 per cent copper and 450 parts per billion over a 60-metre outcrop. Another area, Quebrada de Los Palos, was noted for its abundant copper oxide mineralization in abandoned pits, but was not sampled at that time. In 1992, ENAMI, the national mining company of Chile, conducted sampling at the Zoral mine itself with the goal being to reopen the old mine for feed to one of its local facilities. A total of 40 channel samples from the workings and from the nearby outcrop were taken during this sampling program. Highlights of this sampling are in the table, "1992 Zoral Sampling, ENAMI." 1992 ZORAL SAMPLING, ENAMI Sample Cu (%) Au (g/t) Ag (g/t) Z2 1.43 0.2 7.5 Z3 1.58 0.3 3.8 Z5 0.83 0.1 1.6 Z6 1.14 0.8 5.2 Z8 1.26 0.3 3.9 Z17 1.96 0 0 Z28 2.32 0.2 29 Z29 2.41 0.5 11 Z30 2.17 0.8 7.3 Z31 1.98 0.7 2.9 Z34 1.53 0.3 3.1 Z35 4.59 1 1 Z37 1.91 0.9 3.6 Z38 1.38 0.8 4.4 Z39 2.14 0.8 4.3 Z40 1.57 0.7 3.9 From B. Torrealba, Informe de Muestro de la Mina Zorzal Following this program, no further work was done by ENAMI and no further exploration has occurred since that time. During the authors' field examination of the Carmelita property, a total of three samples were taken from clean outcroppings and bagged on site. Two of the samples were from one surface showing and the third sample was taken from an old near-surface working (pit) that exposed mineralization up to 10 metres below the surface in that locality. Highlights from this sampling are in the table, "Verification Sample Descriptions." VERIFICATION SAMPLE DESCRIPTIONS Sample No. Type Description Cu (%) Au (ppb) Car-06-01 Outcrop five-metre Altered andesitic 3.66 250.3 cont. chip porphyry, copper oxide mineralization Car-06-02 Outcrop five-metre Altered andesitic 2.43 247.4 cont. chip porphyry, copper oxide mineralization Car-06-03 Pit samples two- Altered andesitic 3.06 785 metre cont. chip porphyry, copper oxide mineralization Analysis of the samples was performed from a pulverized split taken from the crushed product of the entire sample submitted. ICP analysis was performed by Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd. at its Vancouver, B.C., lab. Dorex Minerals is mobilizing a field crew and is currently preparing an access road by way of bulldozer to the Carmelita property. ...still a SCREAMING value here folks....just watch.... i'll make yet another prediction.... it won't be at this level (0.42) by the end of Monday!!!! ![]() |
