COALCORP ANNOUNCES $650 MILLION SALES CONTRACT

Coalcorp Mining Inc. has finalized a five-year sales contract for 12.5 million tonnes of coal at a value in excess of $650-million (U.S.), with deliveries commencing in 2009. The FOB sales price averages in excess of $50 (U.S.) per tonne. Commenting on the sales, Serafino Iacono, chief executive officer of Coalcorp, said: "These sales provide Coalcorp with a solid revenue base as we expand our operations and production. Equally importantly, they represent a validation of our integrated strategy within Colombia to produce and deliver significant amounts of coal."
