Ethanol is all the rage. Yup, NDOL is making waves, but you will see lottsa "stuff" about ethanol for awhile...

Here's what I notice: LVCP, basically a holding co., makes a solar play and runs from pennies to dollars. In fact, it changed tickers to reflect the new, solar-oriented direction. (Of course, a few months from now, it can metamorphose again).

NVAO announces biodiesel action, and it, too, runs from pennies to dollars...

However, unlike most--and PnDs for sure--they are holding in the dollars.

Then there's the "ethanol sector." Obviously, penny-land is abuzzzzz...

I submit:

1) be alert to opportunity
Last year as gasoline-shock set in, the traditional plays were traditional penny oil-stocks...independents, some of which ran like clockwork on news, such as TNOG

This year, as gasoline-price-dread slowly creeps up, we've seen these huge run-ups in "alternatives" while some so-called normal bounces are not as elastic...

2) be alert, more than normal, to posers
As more and more thinly-traded, poorly regulated issuances become aware of what's buzzing, I believe we will see, for example, "ethanol plays" coming out of the woodwork...
