Belden Raises Full-Year Outlook After Strong Second Quarter Results
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Electronic cable maker Belden Inc. on Thursday raised its full-year earnings outlook above Wall Street estimates after posting strong second-quarter results.
The company now expects a profit of between $2.80 and $2.95 per share, compared with prior expectations of $2.50 to $2.70 per share. Belden hiked revenue estimates to more than $2 billion, up from an earlier estimate of about $2 billion.
Analysts polled by Thomson Financial expect a year-end profit of $2.69 per share.
John Stroup, the company's chief executive, said the company's expects its healthy second-quarter results to be sustained through the year, citing an improved tax rate. |
