I thought that I had the same problem, tried this but don't work.
I have loaded the scanner at home and works perfect. But when I load it at work, it comes on, the scan log shows it "Performing Searches..." but no cigar, no entries.
Would there be a setting in Internet Options that should be changed to allow downloading of the entries? Anybody had the same challenge?

telling it manually to scan gets its attention and should keep you on the straight and narrow for a while.
