Wind Works Power Corp. Announces Signing of Agreement to Acquire Zero Emission People LLC.
Most of the wind power currently generated in Canada, and around the world, is generated by wind turbines arranged in large-scale ‘wind farms’ covering many acres of land with strong wind resources. These large scale projects can generate hundreds of megawatts (MW) of renewable power without generating greenhouse gasses, airborne or waterborne pollutants or radioactive waste.
On October 19, 2009, Wind Works acquired a 70% equity ownership in Skyway 126 Wind Energy Inc., an Ontario corporation, in consideration for the issuance of 2 million shares of the Company’s common stock. Skyway is the registered and beneficial owner of an existing 10 Megawatt wind energy project under development in Clearview Township in the Province of Ontario, Canada.
With the issuance of the 2 million shares, there are currently 26,763,345 shares of common stock issued and outstanding.
